Dr. Jinny E. Han is an Undergraduate Academic Advisor and Assistant Professor in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies (HDFS). She also serves as the advisor to the HDFS Helping Hands Club. Before she joined HDFS, she taught undergraduate and graduate students at several universities. She also served as one of the STAR (Success Training for Academic Recovery) advisors and International Student Engagement Coordinator for the College of Social Science as well as worked as an academic advisor in the Department of Economics.
Dr. Han has been involved in various research projects, including a multi-year study evaluating the implementation and outcomes of the Michigan psychosocial rehabilitation Clubhouse programs, assessing effectiveness of peer mentoring program for transition aged individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, developing work-related training program for young adults with autism, and examining culturally specific interventions to support adolescents from immigrant families and multiracial families.
